Put Your Smile First
Dental bonding is a minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure. During the process, your dentist will bond tooth-coloured composite resin to your tooth, giving it a similar appearance to your natural teeth.
Dental bonding is commonly used to repair discoloured or chipped teeth, but it can also close gaps between teeth, make teeth appear longer, or change their shape or colour. This treatment is designed to provide you with a more symmetrical smile.
You should feel little to no discomfort throughout the bonding process, and in most cases, multiple teeth can be bonded during one appointment.
The Bonding Procedure
Typically, dental bonding will only require one visit to our office. It usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes to complete each tooth.
To begin the process, your dentist will apply an etching solution to the surface of your tooth before applying a composite resin that best matches the colour of your natural teeth.
The composite resin is then moulded into shape and hardened in place with a high-intensity curing light. After a quick polish, your new teeth should be ready to go.
Why Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding can give your teeth a more natural appearance, especially if the procedure is being performed on a tooth that is visible when you smile.
Dental bonding is very affordable as far as cosmetic dental treatments go, and it can usually be completed in one visit.
The material used is strong and durable, so you can enjoy meals without having to worry about applying too much pressure on your tooth, or breaking or cracking it again.
