Elevate Your Smile
Even if you have excellent oral hygiene practices, you may not be completely happy with the appearance of your smile. We want you to show off your smile with confidence, and dental veneers can help make that a reality.
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-coloured porcelain shells that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth to alter their symmetry, shape, or colour. They can be used to treat cosmetic issues, including broken, chipped, discoloured, or smaller-than-average teeth.
Your veneer will be custom-shaped to fit your tooth. The porcelain imitates the natural translucency of tooth enamel and looks and feels like a natural tooth.
If you're looking to change the overall look of your teeth, contact our dentists to inquire about achieving your desired smile with dental veneers.
Lumineers®
At Emerald Park Dental Clinic, we offer Lumineers to our patients. Lumineers are a much thinner version of veneers that require less preparation and can help repair large gaps between the teeth, misaligned teeth, and stained teeth.
Placing Dental Veneers
The first step is to consult with your dentist to determine if veneers are the right treatment to help you achieve your ideal smile. If you decide to proceed with treatment, we will schedule your first appointment.
At your first appointment, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth which will be used to make your custom veneers. Once your veneers have been made and are ready to be placed, you will return for your second appointment in which they will be bonded to the front surface of your natural teeth.
How to Care for Your Veneers
Veneers should be brushed and flossed just like your natural teeth. Non-abrasive fluoride toothpaste will be gentle on your veneers and reduce the risk of damaging them. Also, consider cutting back on coffee and other foods and beverages that could stain your veneers.
Remember, a veneer will need to be replaced at some point, regardless of how well you maintain them. However, a proper oral hygiene routine can help you get the most out of them.
