Creating a Seamless Dental Experience
At Emerald Park Dental Clinic, our dental technology gives us an in-depth look into your oral health. Using our technology, we can capture clear images of your teeth, and show you the results so you can have more insight regarding your diagnosis and treatment options.
Since we are able to develop a clear understanding of any oral health issues you may be experiencing, creating an appropriate treatment plan can be an easier and faster process.
Dental technology can also be used to perform an array of dental procedures with less pain compared to traditional methods.
Dental technology helps make your dental appointments run as smoothly as possible. This means that you may spend more time showing off your smile and less time at our office receiving treatment!
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions that are not visible to the naked eye.
Digital X-ray technologies have the additional benefit of using less radiation than traditional film X-rays.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays are used to develop a single image that depicts your entire mouth. This shows a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures.
Panoramic X-rays are an especially useful tool when planning treatment for dentures, braces, extractions, and dental implants.
Dental Lasers
Our dentists use lasers (focused light beams) to perform a variety of soft and hard tissue dental procedures with minimal pain and fewer medical interventions. Since pain can be reduced while performing a procedure with lasers, sedation may not be necessary throughout the treatment process.
At Emerald Park Dental Clinic, lasers can be used to remove overgrown or decayed tissue, reshape your gums, harden dental restorations quickly, and whiten teeth.
Intraoral Scanners
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions. They are an alternative to traditional dental impressions that do not require goopy impression material.
With intraoral scanners, like the iTero 3D Scanner, your dentist can use an optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. These devices allow us to capture accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
